Most Anticipated Games Coming Soon

Release dates in gaming move around, so treat these as the plan as of early October 2026, not a promise. I’ll update the list if anything slips.

Late 2026

Order of the Sinking Star (PC, October 8). The next puzzle game from Jonathan Blow, who made Braid and The Witness. Puzzle fans have been waiting for this one.

Phantom Blade Zero (PS5 and PC, October 28). A stylish action RPG that has been building hype for a while.

Grand Theft Auto VI (November 19). The big one. Rockstar’s next open-world game has been delayed before, so this date is the one to watch.

Early 2027

Stranger Than Heaven (PC, PS5 and Xbox, January 15). From RGG Studio and Sega, it’s a prequel to the Like a Dragon series that follows a character across fifty years of Japanese history.

Persona 4 Revival (PC, PS5 and Xbox, mid-February). A new take on one of the best-loved JRPGs of its era.

Fable (PC, PS5 and Xbox, February). The return of the fantasy RPG series. Sources list slightly different February dates, so check before you plan around it.

Later in 2027

Squadron 42 (PC, expected Q2). The single-player campaign from the Star Citizen universe. It has a long history of delays, so I’d keep expectations loose.

The Witcher IV (late 2027, possibly 2028). CD Projekt Red’s next chapter in the series.

A note for old PCs

Most of these are built for current consoles and modern PCs, so they won’t run on an old machine like mine. I’ll be watching their requirements and sticking with lightweight games in the meantime.

Which one are you waiting for?
